Rose + Champagne: A Sparkling Fragrance Layering Idea
If you love florals but want something with a little sparkle, try layering a rose oil with a champagne oil. The rose gives you the romance; the champagne notes add a bright, bubbly lift that makes the whole blend feel festive.
Meet the Two Oils
Rose Nights (goes on first)
Top: Pomegranate, Yuzu, Aquatic Accord
Heart: Magnolia, Peony, Rose
Base: Amber, Musk, Acajou Wood
Bossy Champagne (goes on top)
Top: sparkling quince, peony, champagne
Heart: almond cream, peach blossom, freesia
Base: sandalwood, vanilla, blonde woods
Why These Two Work Together
Rose Nights opens with pomegranate, yuzu and an aquatic accord, blooms into magnolia, peony and rose, and settles on amber, musk and acajou wood. Bossy Champagne opens with sparkling quince, peony and champagne, then almond cream, peach blossom and freesia, over sandalwood, vanilla and blonde woods.
They share peony, which ties the two hearts together, and their bases (amber and musk; sandalwood and vanilla) dry down smoothly into each other.
How to Layer Them, Step by Step
- Start on clean, moisturized skin so the floral notes last.
- Apply Rose Nights first: one dab on each wrist and one at the base of your neck. Let it settle for about a minute.
- Add one dab of Bossy Champagne on top of each spot. Its sparkling top notes shine brightest when they go on last.
- Let the oils blend naturally; don't rub them in.
- After 20–30 minutes the shared peony heart and the warm, woody bases take over for a soft, glowing finish.
Make the Blend Your Own
- More sparkle: two dabs of Bossy Champagne to one of Rose Nights.
- More romance: two dabs of Rose Nights to one of Bossy Champagne.
- Day to night: Bossy Champagne alone for daytime, then add Rose Nights on top in the evening.
Tip: before wearing any new fragrance oil all day, try a small amount on a patch of skin first.
