How to Make Egyptian Musk Bath Bombs

Things You Will Need

  • 10 - 12 drops of Egyptian Musk Fragrance Oil
  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • ¾ cup of citric acid
  • ¾ cup of Epsom salts
  • 4 tablespoons of FCO or coconut oil
  • 1 water in a spray bottle
  • 1 mixing bowls
  • 1 metal bath bomb molds

1. Dry Mix Powder Ingredients

Mix the baking soda, citric acid, and Epsom salts in the mixing bowl. The baking soda and the citric acid are the base of the bath bombs. They create the fizz of a bath bomb. These two are available at the local supermarkets. The citric acid is usually in the canning section. 

Epsom salts can soothe tight and achy muscles. Epsom salts are available in most groceries and pharmacies, either in the first aid section or the bath section.

2. Wet Mix Coconut oil and Egyptian Musk Fragrance Oil

In a separate bowl, mix the coconut oil and the Egyptian Musk. Fractionated coconut oil (FCO) moisturizes the skin. However, Egyptian Musk has a rich, woody, and musky fragrance. It has a relaxing and soothing effect, especially when used in bath and body products.

3. Combine slowly

Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry mixture. Adding them really fast makes it produce pressure creating an uncalled-for chemical reaction. You can use a spoon to mix the ingredients, or you can use your hands but be sure to wear gloves.

4. Spritz a minute amount of water

Use the spray bottle to add water if the mixture becomes too dry. Lightly spray water one at a time. Continue mixing until the mixture holds together. It should feel like wet sand.

Fill the metal molds with the mixture. There are many molders available in the market. You can use different shapes but of course, let’s make the bomb a conventional shape of a bomb. Press tightly.

6. Remove slowly from the molder

Remove the bath bombs from the molds and let them sit at room temperature overnight to dry and harden.

7. Ready, set, and pack! 

After 24 hours, store them in a container that is ready to use. You can add them in a tightly sealed mason jar or a regular glass container.
