Are you wondering how to clean your oven?
The holidays are just around the corner. You are probably busy buying the ingredients for the dishes you will be preparing for parties and gatherings. Your kitchen will be the busiest place in your house. But before anything else, have you looked at your oven? Is it clean and ready for all the cooking and baking? No matter how busy you are, taking the time to clean your oven is very important.
DISADVANTAGES OF A DIRTY OVEN
1. A dirty oven is not a healthy oven. If your oven is covered with grease and grime, it will not work properly. As a result, you may not be properly cooking your food and undercooked food can put you at risk of food poisoning and other bacterial infections.
2. Small amounts of grease in the oven can lead to smoke in your oven. This can affect the taste of your food and the flavor of baked goods.
3. A dirty oven is a fire hazard. Old food spillages can set the oven on fire.
4. A dirty oven releases pollutants like carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, and sulphur dioxide into the air.
5. A badly-maintained oven can break easily and won’t last long.
Knowing all these, it’s now time to clean your oven. At first, it might look very overwhelming. But cleaning your oven is definitely worth it especially if you care about the safety of the dishes you prepare. Also, it is best to clean your oven naturally. Since you use your oven to prepare your food, it’s not a good idea to use commercial products with chemicals to clean your oven. You can use essential oils that can naturally get rid of grease and grime. They are natural ingredients that can also fight bacteria and fungi that can cause molds. Make sure that your oven is completely cool before cleaning it.
DIRECTIONS
1. Put the baking soda in the mixing bowl.

2. Add the essential oils - orange and tea tree.

3. Stir in the water.

4. Mix well until a thick paste is formed.

5. Using a damp sponge, apply the paste over the oven area and let sit for 5 minutes.

6. Using the same sponge, gently scrub the paste in a circular motion.

7. Use a clean damp cloth to wipe and remove all the dirt and the paste left on the oven.

Now that your oven is clean, you can enjoy cooking and baking knowing that you are preparing delicious and healthy dishes.
